Bracke C16.c demonstrated in France
|
The Bracke C16.c biomass felling head was demonstrated for the first time in France on the 21st November.
|

According to the French Bracke dealer, FSI Franskan sas, it is within the agricultural business the largest potential for biomass harvesting is available.
A demo day for farmers, under the theme “biomass harvesting in agricultural land” was arranged on the 21st November close to Angers. The organizer was the agricultural cooperative Chambre d’agriculture de Loire Atlantique and the purpose of the demo day was to show the participants efficient methods to harvest biomass along field- and roadsides. The visitors were mainly farmers but also contractors and representatives of the forest organization CRPF pays de la Loire was present at the event.
The Bracke C16.c gained a large interest among the visitors, partly because it was the first time it was displayed in France but mainly for its efficiency and for the good result it delivered. Many of the present farmers expressed satisfaction with the low and neat stumps that the Bracke head make. The interest for the C16-head also showed in trade magazine and television reports. The trees and bushes growing wild in the good soils along field- and road sides is a problem in all of France and now the land owners and farmers has the opportunity to sell this material as biomass instead of just removing it. What they need now are efficient methods to harvest and chip the material for biomass.
- I think this demo showed that the French market is ready for us now, says Per Jonsson, export manager at Bracke Forest.
Except for bush cleaning along field- and road sides, chipping and arborists were shown at the demo day in Angers.
